Union Home Minister Amit Shah has launched the Sahara Refund Portal, aiming to facilitate the return of funds held in Sahara India by the government. Investors with funds stuck in Sahara India will soon be able to reclaim their money through this portal. To receive their refunds, investors must apply on the government-issued portal.

  2. Provide the last four digits of your Aadhaar number.
  3. Provide the number linked with Aadhaar and mobile.
  4. Click on the button to receive OTP.

In this step, just follow the above instructions. After this, click on “https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in/Depositor/Login” to proceed to the next step.

Good news for Sahara India investors as Union Home Minister Amit Shah has initiated the Sahara Refund Portal. The purpose of this portal is to expedite the return of funds trapped in Sahara India by the government. Investors who have funds stuck in Sahara India will soon receive their money through the Sahara Refund Portal. Investors need to apply on the portal issued by the government to receive their refunds. Afterward, their refund will be transferred to their bank accounts within 15 to 45 days. As per government directives, a payment of Rs 5,000 crores will be made through the Sahara India Refund Portal. In the first phase, investors can receive up to approximately ₹10,000. Therefore, if your money is stuck in Sahara India, you can register on the Sahara Refund Portal.

Only investors whose scheme’s majority period has elapsed will receive refunds. Hence, those whose majority period has elapsed will need to register for refunds. There might be some delay in the refund process as all investor registrations will undergo verification and policy validation. If everything is in order, refunds will be transferred to their bank accounts within 45 days.

Investors who have deposited ₹24,000 crores under the SEBI Sahara Fund will receive a refund of up to ₹10,000, provided their money is stuck in Sahara India and their majority period has ended. Investors need to register on the Sahara Refund Portal issued by the government to receive this refund. For registration, investors must have copies of all essential documents related to their investment in Sahara India. To receive the refund, investors can register online at mocrefund.crcs.gov.in.

To register on the Sahara Refund Portal:

  1. Visit the official Sahara Refund portal.
  2. Click on the Sahara Refund 2023 option on the portal’s homepage.
  3. Enter your Aadhaar card number, after which you will receive an OTP on your mobile number. Enter the OTP and submit.
  4. After entering the OTP, you will need to enter policy number in which you have invested and the requested information. Then, fill out the application form properly and submit it.
  5. Now, you will need to enter your bank account number where you want to receive the refund and click on the submit option.
  6. This completes the registration process for Sahara India Refund.
  7. The information provided by you will be verified, such as the policy number, etc. After verification, your refund will be transferred to your bank account within 15 to 45 days.
